In an Off Grid System, the DC output from the array is stored in a battery bank, generally VRSLA batteries.

A charge controller, either incorporated into the inverter or on its own, sits between the panels, inverter and battery bank, monitoring this output. It performs the vital role of regulating and maintaining a correct charge rate with respect to the state of the storage bank.

This controller ensures the durability and efficiency of one of the most expensive components in an Off Grid System,  the batteries.

An inverter Charger converts the stored 24V or 48V DC output to 230V AC and allows you to energise your business, or remote application.

System analysis, sizing, quality componentry and design, are absolutely crucial in SA Systems, and that expertise is quite frankly, beyond the ability of most " off the rack " PV companies in NZ.

Our Offshore Island and remote system experience ensures we can confidently deliver this expertise and capability.
